I believe that the poem means that anything can happen during summers. When the poem mentions skinned knees and sitting next to the green lizard means summer is carefree, and you don’t have to worry about anything. When the poet mentions far above and away from civilization I believe he is saying that everything can sink away. You can relax and escape your hectic life. I believe the poet is saying summer is a time of relaxation, and to escape civilization and get some rest and recuperation.

Some people disapprove adding fluoride to drinking water because if little children and adults drink to much fluoride it can cause dental fluorosis. Dental fluorosis can cause the enamel in your teeth to wear down weakening your teeth. I think that we should not put fluoride in drinking water because fluoride can cause many problems for people. Some technological advances that had to be made before fluoride could go into toothpaste were finding different compounds of fluoride to use in the toothpaste, and finding out which compound was the least toxic and how much to use in the toothpaste. The side affects that most concern me about putting fluoride in our drinking water are osteoporosis and the damage to the immune system. Fluoride reduces the number of white blood cells increasing the risk of becoming ill. Osteoporosis weakens the bones and increases the risk of breaking a bone.
